It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerome "Jerry" Lutz Sr. Born on the 12th of October, 1962, he passed away on the 22nd of February, 2026.

Jerome was a man of great humor and wisdom. His personality was best described as funny, witty, kind, and helpful. His infectious laughter and sharp wit brought joy to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a beacon of kindness and generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His sage wisdom was encapsulated in his favorite phrase: "Eat until it hurts and eat a little more," a testament to his humor and zest for life.

The pride and joy of Jerome's life were his childre . He is remembered by kids Jerome jr. and Sabrina Lutz(and Eric), his grandchildren Carter, Madison, and Cooper and his loving brothers and sisters and many friends he considered family . 

Jerome leaves behind a legacy of kindness. His benevolence touched the lives of many, shaping his community and inspiring those around him to be kinder, more compassionate beings. His characteristic humor and joy will continue to live on in the memories of those who knew him.

A Memorial service to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Jerome will be held on the 27th of June, 2026 at 1:00 PM at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home in Crystal Lake IL. A smaller family gathering for a celebration of life will be on Fathers day at the clubhouse. In these moments of loss and sadness, let us remember Jerome for the joy and laughter he brought into our lives, and let his legacy serve as a reminder to be kind to one another.
