Jerome (Jerry) Gerteisen, 81, of Broomfield, Colorado, passed away September1, 2022 at his home. Jerry was born in 1940 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Albert William Gerteisen and Catherine Evelyn Blankenberger. Jerry was married to Joan Franta August 10, 1963, and had two daughters, Teresa and Diane, they lived in Mankato, Minnesota—Later divorced and married Nancy Mentele Wright June 16, 1990. They were married for over 32 years.

Jerry was a certified dental technician for over 52 years. He thoroughly enjoyed his work—trained people who then became lab owners. Through the years, he was President of the Minnesota Dental Lab Association, Vice President, and served on the Board of Directors. He enjoyed biking, hiking, tenting, trailer and motor home camping, and playing cards. He belonged to the Arvada Modelers and Rocky Mountain Corsa Club and liked flying in a Cessna 182. He also enjoyed the Gem and Mineral Club when they came to Denver. He is also a member of Spirit of Christ Catholic Community Church in Arvada, Colorado.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter Teresa M. Gerteisen, his sister Carolyn (Sister Marianna) Gerteisen and son in-law Tim Nolan.

Funeral Mass was held on September 3th, 11:00 AM. , at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community in Arvada. Services concluded at the church. Jerry's final resting place will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Keystone, South Dakota. Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Keystone, SD at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
