It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jerodia Staton on September 16, 2024. Born on June 6, 1957, Jerodia lived a life full of vibrance and passion. She showcased an inspiring resilience, demonstrating how each day is a gift to cherish and make the most of her journey through life.   Jerodia served as a lighthouse for all those around her, proving that adversity is always surmountable with the right spirit. Embodying a kind heart and a compassionate soul, Jerodia will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace, leaving behind a legacy of strength, warmth, and love.

Jerodia was an extraordinary woman with a compassionate character, devoted her life to serving her community through public service and selflessness. Jerodia pursued holistic medicine and graduated from the University of New Mexico, culminating in a diverse and accomplished career. As a therapist, she treated notable figures such as Governors, Presidents, and Chief Wilma Mankiller, as well as everyday individuals from her office in the Harriet Tubman House. Jerodia prioritized health and wellness over profit, serving as a beacon to others who aspire to follow the call of public service.
