Jeremy's obituary
Jeremy Lee Schmuhl, 44, of Madison, WI, passed away on January 14, 2025. Born on December 2, 1980, Jeremy was known for his deep passion for classic cars, particularly his Red '97 Pontiac Trans Am. His skills as a mechanic made him the go-to car expert in his family and among friends.
Jeremy's life was full of joy and laughter, shared with his four children, whom he loved immensely. His presence was a beacon of reliability and fun, always ready with a tool in hand and a joke to tell.
He is survived by his children, Jeremy, Madelynn, Raelynn, and Waylon Schmuhl; his mother, Kerry Riese; stepfather, Tom Riese; father, Terry Schmuhl; stepmother, Tracy Schmuhl; and siblings, Stephanie Nachtigal (Chris), Stacy Johnson (Dee), Samantha Schmuhl, Terry Schmuhl, Taylor Schmuhl and Teagan Schmuhl; and nephews, Hunter, Damien, Tyler, Makai and Mason; and nieces, Selestina, Tiana and Kiah. His grandmother, Judith Modjeska, his granddaughter Baby Maura and his girlfriend Natalie Hubbard. His extended family includes many aunts, uncles, cousins, along with many close friends who became family over the years. Jeremy was preceded in death by his step-father Charles Williamson, and his grandparents Ellen, Elmer Schmuhl, and Gerald Modjeska.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW Post 7591 in Madison, WI, on February 9th, 2025 from 2pm - 4pm, where loved ones will gather to share stories and honor Jeremy's memory. The family invites all who knew Jeremy to join in remembering a life well-lived, marked by the roaring engines of classic cars and the warmth of an ever-smiling face.
