Personal note from Friends of Jeremy Brock

ABOUT THIS CAUSE:

In March 2020, Jeremy Brock was diagnosed with early onset dementia. A small pea sized tumor was noted in his brain scan, which seemed to be the cause of the dementia. By September 2020, the tumor had grown to 3.2 cm in size, and he was officially diagnosed with Lymphoma, a cancer that begins in infection-fighting cells (lymphocytes) of the immune system, located in the lymph nodes throughout various parts of the body. The lymphocytes change and grow out of control. Jeremy’s tumor resulted in a need for chemotherapy, as well as seizures, the loss of mobility, speech impairments, and a host of other medical problems and needs.

Brock worked as a tattoo artist. His art was not only the source of his passion, but also his lifeblood. After his diagnosis, he was forced to move home with his mother, Teresa Brock, so she could care for him. Teresa was just recovering from a car accident which rendered her physically unable to work for the entire previous year. Jeremy also has a young child, Liam – his pride and joy, who is having to endure the pain of watching his father slip away.

Friends, Jeremy needs you now more than ever before. He needs to know his mother will no longer suffer financial hardship due to his funeral expenses and medical bills piling up. He needs to know his son will be well taken care of before he departs this life. He is almost ready to make his way home and embark on his journey to eternal life. He is hanging on, but knows he is in his final days. He wants to go in peace, and with dignity.

Any help you could provide towards his funeral and medical expenses would be so appreciated. Some will donate less, some will donate more, but every single dollar counts and will make all the difference.

Where your donation will go:
Funeral Expenses (burial and casket): $10,000.00
Medical Expenses: $15,000
Interest Bearing Memorial Trust to be set up for Liam’s care: $25,000

About EverLoved.com:
When we were launching this fundraising effort, we looked into many services, aiming for one that is transparent, that would make every dollar contributed count, that would accept multiple forms of payment, and that would make funds available as close to instantly as possible. EverLoved.com allows every dollar contributed to go directly to Jeremy’s expenses, with all of the administrative fees paid for up front so that there is no percentage deducted (other than the standard processing fees), as is the case on many fund-raising sites. Also, if you prefer to keep your donation anonymous, there is an option to do so on the donation page.

If you prefer to donate directly and not through this site:
Email us at friendsofjeremybrock@gmail.com and we will provide a physical mailing address, or mom’s CashApp $CashTag.

A thank you gift from Jeremy:
He is a prolific artist and has always had a passion for drawing and imagery. Anyone who donates will receive a link to download exclusive works of Jeremy’s art, specially curated by Brock and his family members to thank everyone for their support.
