Jeramie Mattingley
April 25, 1986- December 25, 2022
Jeramie took his own life Christmas morning after battling mental illness for years. Born in Boulder, CO, to Cheryl Mattingley Erickson, he moved to Waldport, OR at 8 months old. He grew up in Waldport until high school where he moved to Newport, OR.
After graduating in 2004 he worked as a manager at the Newport Cinemas. A few years later he went into the food industry where he became a well known chef at several local restaurants, including Luna Sea. He was a wonderful cook. He enjoyed football and was a huge fan of the Denver Broncos starting at the age of 1. He was lucky enough to even try on John Elway's Superbowl rings. He wrestled in highschool for 2 years. He was also a big fan of the Colorado Avalanche. He also loved camping and hunting. His favorite activity was daddy daughter bowling day once a week.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Harold and Betty Mattingley of Waldport, OR. He is survived by his mother Cheryl Erickson, his brother Aaron Erickson, his sister Hope-Noel Erickson, all of Newport. His wife Amber Dodson Mattingley and his beautiful daughter Aurora Mattingley, also of Newport. He is also survived by his brother in life Joe Clement of Phoenix, AZ, His Uncle Jim Mattingley of Florida, his aunt and uncle Robyn and Tony Baker of North Carolina. His nieces and nephews and so many wonderful friends. He will be missed by so many and loved by all. Good bye my sweet boy, until we meet again. I love you!
