Jennifer Lynn Plott, nee Shelton, 60, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on October 21, 2025, at 4:33pm surrounded by her 3 loving children, best friend Terri, and multiple cousins and family members.

Jennifer was born January 27, 1965, in Knoxville, Tennessee, the daughter of Jacob Joseph Shelton and Lura Kay Shelton, nee Wright.

Jennifer worked as a Civil Process Server for 20+ years, serving the civil court systems of East Tennessee.

Jennifer loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading mystery novels, and crocheting.

When not participating in her hobbies, Jennifer dedicated her life to her family, both immediate and distant. No matter the circumstance, Jennifer would help a family member in need without a second thought and never asked for anything in return.

Remaining to cherish Jennifer’s memory are her children: Brian Joseph LaBarre (Leigh Mosier), Tod Brandon Plott (Briana Plott), and Bailey Kay Ferguson, nee Plott (Michael Ferguson), her grandchildren: Kaylynn Marie LaBarre, Hayden Tallon Plott, Eli Jack Ferguson, Landon Jensen Plott, and Amelia Kay Ferguson, along with her best friend of over 40 years Terri Telson and all of her brothers and sisters.

Preceding Jennifer in death are her parents Jacob Joseph Shelton and Lura Kay Shelton, along with all her grandparents and multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held November 1, 2025, between 6-8pm at Mascot Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 1804 Number Two Drive, Mascot, TN 37806. Per Jennifer’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. In her honor, be kind and treat everyone the way you want to be treated.
