With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jennifer Dean Compton, who peacefully left us on July 25, 2024, at her cherished home in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Born on July 6, 1950, Jennifer lived a life rich in love, dedication, and unwavering spirit.
Jennifer was the beloved wife of the late Edward Gross and shared many years with her former husband, Roger Cundiff. She was a devoted mother to her children, the late John Cundiff, Danny Cundiff, and Carmella Winborne. Her grandchildren, Brittany Jones, the late Hailey Hatcher, Mitchell Witcher, Erica Cundiff, and Zane Winborne, were the light of her life and her greatest joy.
Throughout her incredible journey, Jennifer wore many hats with grace and excellence. She served her community as a real estate appraiser, a nurse, and a cosmetologist, always bringing her unique blend of skill, compassion, and beauty to everything she did. Her love for life extended beyond her professional achievements. Jennifer had a deep passion for horses, which she lovingly cared for, and a special bond with her dogs, Caramel, Cleo, and Sophia, who were her faithful companions.
Jennifer's spirit was indomitable. She faced life's challenges with courage and an unyielding positive attitude that inspired everyone around her. Her kindness, generosity, and infectious smile will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
