Jennie Garrett, 87, of Katy, TX passed away peacefully on November 03, 2022, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Jennie grew up in Chicago IL, a city they loved and never left. She worked at Ford Enterprise for 46 years and enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family. Jennie will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Jennie was predeceased by her loving husband C.G. Garrett, her brother, Edward Mitchell and her sister Bertha Mitchell. She is survived by her children Deshone Garrett, Yolanda Garrett, Kenny Garrett, Kimberly Garrett. Bruce Garrett. Her grandchildren Harriet Garrett, Cordarrol Garrett, Kemal Garrett, Deshonia Garrett, Kamarr Garrett, Jamarion Garrett, 27 great grandchildren, and a host of friends. Jennie requested a celebration of life be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Jennie’s loved one to join us in celebrating their beautiful life at Schmidt Funeral home on November 10, 2022, at 10:00am.
