Jennie Catalano went home to meet her Lord and Savior on April 24, 2022. Jennie was born as Jennie Breve, in Philadelphia, Pa to her parents Ettore and Margaret Breve on November 21, 1923. She was the third born of eight children, and her siblings were her closest friends . Jennie was a talented seamstress, and it was while she was doing this job that she met her handsome husband, Nicholas Catalano. Together, Jennie and Nick had three children: Anthony, Robert (Bobby), and Danny, whom she loved with her whole heart . In her time as a mother, Jennie also fostered other children and shared her love and blessings with them while they lived in her home. Jennie was an amazing housekeeper, and her home was always an immaculate, warm, and welcoming place- with the smell of freshly brewed coffee always in the air and something delicious ready on the table. Jennie enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her sisters and her favorite card partner, Rick. She was amazing at puzzles and word puzzles, especially the crytoquip which she did every day from the newspaper. Jennie also did beautiful crochet work!!! Cooking spaghetti, meatballs, and gravy was her specialty. Also, everyone who knew her grew to expect her delicious pizzelles every year at Christmas, which she made in huge batches and gave as gifts. Her grandchildren remember their “Mom-Mom” for many things including sleepovers with her and ice cream cones that she packed down deep with love, playing Rummy-O, and faithful cards on birthday and Christmas. For the last 20 plus years she lived with her son Anthony and his wife, Maryann in Mays Landing, NJ. In the very last year of her life up until her passing, her son Bobby and his wife, Donna, cared for her in their home in Texas. Jennie is predeceased by her parents , her husband Nick, and her siblings: Martha, Freddy, Annie, Mary, and Dolores, also by her grandson Joseph. Jennie will be remembered as loving , generous, and fun to be with by those who knew and loved her best. Jennie leaves behind her sons, their wives, many grandchildren, even more great-grandchildren, her sisters, Franny and Betty, and a very large extended family who will all miss her greatly. They look forward to the day when they will be reunited with her in the Lord’s presence.
