Jeffrey's obituary

Obituary - Jeffrey Ray Wilson | March 21, 1958 - November 14, 2025

Jeffrey Ray Wilson passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Coushatta Fuller and Jessica Fuller Castillo (Jason Castillo); siblings Clifford Wilson (Gloria Faye Wilson), Mark Wilson, and Sonja Williams (Charlie Williams); and grandchildren Ella Grace Fuller and Roman Castillo. He is preceded in death by his parents, Almeta Wilson and James “Stack” Evans, and brother and best friend Earlon “Lake” Wilson.

Born in Sherman, Texas, Jeff Wilson was a fun-loving, free-spirited man with a kind soul who could make a stranger smile. His kindness and love for people made him a friend to all - someone you could always count on for a smile or laugh, no matter the situation.

Jeff was the baby boy in his siblings, beloved by his extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family, bound by a deep and unwavering love for one another, endures through life's changes and challenges. At its core, love remains constant, unchanging, and unconditional.

As a teenager, Jeff met his love and former wife, Juanita Fuller; together they shared two incredible daughters who both reflect Jeff’s kindness and creativity, each in their unique way. Once, someone asked if he regretted not having sons. His response? “Have you met my daughters?!”

Jeff deeply valued time with his family and friends - even if it was for a quick “round the corner crash” or just sitting on the porch sharing stories, and sharing his unique old-school sayings. Those sayings, often said in jest, had much, much deeper meaning. “Baby! That looks fluffy with fleas…” meant if it looks too good to be true, you'd better take a closer look. A valuable life lesson told in a playful, lasting way - that was Jeff’s way. He loved sharing his sayings and teaching, his curiosity, love of God, and laughter with anyone willing to listen.

Jeff was naturally talented in many, many things; with his sharp, quick wit, there wasn’t a situation, place, or person he could not charm. At home, he was the core of the household. He loved cooking, cleaning, and making wherever he was feel truly like home. He had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and like they mattered. Jeff was sentimental, silly, affectionate, and fully and truly his own unique self - a personality that filled the room with light, laughter, and love.

Jeffrey Ray Wilson, “Jed” to many, will be remembered for his warmth, intelligence, unconditional love, and the joy he brought to so many lives.

A funeral service celebrating Jeffrey Wilson’s life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. CST at Greater New Hope Baptist Church, 722 E. Pecan Street, Sherman, Texas 75090. Flowers may be sent to the church at the above address, thank you.
