It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Hood, born on August 9, 1973, who left us too soon on August 24, 2023. A man of boundless humor, love, and sentimentality, Jeffrey deeply touched all those who knew him.

Jeffrey is survived by his beloved family; his sisters Cindy Sutherland and Kelly Brodner: his children, Thomas, Nola and Jolie Hood; his nephews William, Matthew, Robert Brodner, and Sean Sutherland; and his nieces Lila Brodner, Casey Flores, Jennifer, and Charlene Hood, all of whom will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his mother, Suzan Garfinkel, and his brother, Thomas Hood.

Known for his love of indulging in all kinds of food, Jeffrey was a man who relished life's simple pleasures. A lover of rock music, he was often heard humming to tunes of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and AC/DC. Friends, Seinfeld, and comedic films were his consistent companions during leisure time, often bringing a smile to his face.

A steadfast supporter of the Dolphins, his enthusiasm for his team was infectious. His best days were those spent in the company of his faithful dog, Max, whether they were playing together or taking long, reflective walks.

Jeffrey's greatest pride was his children, whom he regarded as his most significant achievements. He was a man who was larger than life, a beacon of kindness, tolerance, and patience. He demonstrated these qualities every day, setting an example for all those around him.

His legacy will be remembered in the laughter he inspired, the love he shared, and the lessons he imparted. Jeffrey Hood was indeed an extraordinary son, brother, uncle, and father, and he will be immensely missed by all.

He took the stair way to heaven way too soon.
