Jeffrey John Gilson

May 12, 1947 - April 30, 2024

Jeff Gilson, aged 76, passed away on April 30th, 2024, in Cape Coral, Florida. He was born on May 12, 1947, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Clarence and Marie Gilson.

Jeff is survived by his loving children: Aaron Gilson (Leah Gilson), Adam Gilson (Lisa Gilson) and Kelly Conway (Zak Conway); and grandchildren: Tyler, Bennett, Luca, Julian and Braleigh. He is also survived by his brother, Mark Gilson, and sister, Sandy VandenBoomen.

A graduate of West Point Class of 1969, Jeff went on to serve his country achieving the rank of Captain and was stationed in Germany. After his service, he graduated from Marquette School of Law and dedicated his career to the practice of law as partner of Kaftan, Van Egeren & Gilson SC servicing Green Bay, WI. After his retirement, Jeff moved to Florida to enjoy the warm weather.

Outside of his professional life, Jeff had a love for fishing in Canada and enjoyed many memorable trips with family. He also had a competitive spirit and found joy in playing scrabble and chess with family and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Marie Gilson.

Jeff will be remembered fondly for his kindness. He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

There will be a private family memorial held in Jeffs honor.
