Jeffrey's obituary
Jeffrey Alan Bown, 62, passed away on March 8, 2026, after a courageous battle with appendiceal carcinoma.
Jeffrey was born on April 18, 1963. He studied at Belmont University and went on to build a life defined by entrepreneurship, creativity, and a deep love for his family. He owned multiple tire sales companies and pursued a passion for music production, contributing to shows at the Ryman Auditorium and Bridgestone Arena.
A man of many talents and passions, Jeffrey was a phenomenal pianist, an avid reader, and a gifted music arranger. He also had a deep love for aviation, earning his multi-instrument pilot license and volunteering his time flying missions with Angel Flight alongside Bob Briggs.
Jeffrey was deeply committed to personal growth and self-improvement, always striving to become the best version of himself. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone around him feel valued, significant, and capable of achieving their dreams. His encouragement and belief in others left a lasting legacy that will continue for generations.
Jeffrey was married to Susan Bown for 20 years. Though they later divorced, they remained on amicable terms. Susan and his son Matt were by his side during his final weeks at MD Anderson.
He is survived by his sons, Andrew Bown and Matt Bown; his daughters-in-law, Ashley Bown and Emily Bown; his grandchildren; his mother, Carol Zeir; his brother, Scott Bown; and his sister, Julie Montoya and her family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Linn Bown.
A service to honor Jeffrey’s life will be held on April 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Hermitage Church of the Nazarene.
