Jeffrey's obituary

Jeffrey Kendall Boback

June 30, 1987 – March 29, 2025

Jeffrey Kendall Boback passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the age of 37. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Jeff later moved to New Hampshire and was raised in Manchester. He attended Parkside Middle School and West High School and spent much of his youth immersed in the local skateboarding scene, carving out a life full of movement, music, and meaning.

Jeff was a natural athlete with a fearless spirit. Whether he was skateboarding, snowboarding, or downhill mountain biking, he met every challenge head-on. He was known for his unique personal challenges like riding his bike from Manchester to Concord and back during the biggest snowstorm of the year, often in shorts, just to prove he could. Always pushing his limits, Jeff could turn everyday moments into feats of strength, balance and skill, jumping across streets or climbing ledges and structures simply to keep himself sharp.

Beyond his physical gifts, Jeff was deeply creative and thoughtful. A passionate lover of music, his tastes ranged from Modest Mouse, Aesop Rock, Radiohead and always appreciated Classic Rock. Despite not completing a formal education, he was a gifted wordsmith with an extraordinary vocabulary. That tied with a powerful and curious intellect, he always left a captivating impression on everyone he met.

Jeff had a rare and beautiful way of seeing the world. He found value in the overlooked and beauty in the worn and weathered. From rare cars to antique curiosities and his many beloved houseplants, he had a profound appreciation for life in all its forms. Over the years, he cared for many animals—cats, dogs, and others—with the same compassion he showed to all people in his life.

Above all else, Jeff was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Theodora Stella Brantley Boback, who was the center of his world.

Jeff was a kind, intensely intelligent, and fiercely unique soul. His presence brought warmth, laughter, and perspective to everyone lucky enough to know him. He was deeply loved, and his absence leaves an unfillable void in the lives of his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Theodora Stella Brantley Boback; his mother, Janelle Rose; and his older brother, Regan Milewski.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd at 11:00 AM at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, located at 197 Middle Rd, Brentwood, NH 03833. A Zoom link will be available upon request for those who are unable to attend in person.
