Jeffrey's obituary

Jeffrey Clark Bjerksett, age 60, of Carver MN, left this world suddenly on April 8th, 2021.

Jeff was born June 28, 1960 in Minneapolis MN. He was the most fun loving soul. Jeff was very adventurous, and loved the outdoors. Skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, four wheeling, cooking, music, and travel were among his greatest passions. Oh yes, and talking – lots and lots of stories. Jeff made friends everywhere he went – all the more people to talk to! He was a daredevil, and the wild card among his many friends. Jeff got himself into (and out of) remarkable situations. Jeff liked to work hard and play hard, and the combination of the two along with his artistic talent, is reflected in numerous establishments all around.

Jeff will be missed dearly by so many friends & family. He is survived by his loving wife, Shelly Bjerksett; children, Joshua & Hailee Bjerksett; stepchildren, Tanya (Keith) Van Sloun, Rachel (Mitchell) Morem, and Cory Breitenfeldt; grandson, Warren Van Sloun; father-in-law, Warren Woods; siblings, Sandy Fitzgerald, LueAnn (Doug) Hinderaker, and Gregory Bjerksett; nieces & nephews, Mike Fitzgerald, Leesha Fitzgerald (James Eccles), Pia (Drew) Freeman, Cody Engstrom, and Hanna Hinderaken; brother-in-laws, Scott (Glynda) Woods and Stephen Woods; and grandniece Kiera Eccles. Preceded in death by parents, Jere Lue (Stubbs) & Norman E. Bjerksett.

A short celebration of life will be held at the Bjerksett home outdoors on Sunday, April 18, 2021, followed by light appetizers and stories. Dress weather appropriately. For those not yet vaccinated, a mask must be worn. If you’re ill, please understand to extend your sympathies alternatively, keeping in mind the family’s wishes to respect the cause of Jeff’s passing.
