Jeffrey Andrew Whitney (age 19), died May 7, 1978.  He was a native of Toledo, Ohio, the son of James Charles Whitney and Edna (Judy) Gresham who survive.  Jeff was a 1977 graduate of Brunswick Ohio High School and was employed by Temple Chattanooga in Savannah.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m. at the Shackleford Chapel with Rev. Howard Doss officiating.  Burial was in the Savannah Cemetery.

• Theodore Gresham Whitney of Savannah, Tennessee (brother)
• Cherie Ann Casteel of Savannah, Tennessee (sister)
• Michelle Casteel of Savannah, Tennessee (sister)

Jeffrey's surviving paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Chester Whitney of Hesperia, Michigan.

Jeffrey is preceded in death by the following:

• Jamesetta Colette Whitney (sister)
• John & Peter Whitney (brothers)
