Jeff's obituary

Jeffrey Raymond Aller
December 10, 1961 – May 8, 2025

Jeffrey “Jeff” Aller was born on December 10, 1961, in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, to Beverly (Lang) and Jess Aller. From the very beginning, Jeff had a big heart and a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys—playing at the Brackenridge playground with friends and sharing adventures with his childhood dog, Herb.

At 18, Jeff began working at Gold Circle, where he met the love of his life, Jayne Freshwater. Their bond was instant and enduring. Four years later, on October 6, 1984, they were married and began a life filled with laughter, hard work, and unwavering love. In 1985, they welcomed their son Jesse.

Jeff was a man of integrity, strength, and generosity. He started working young—mowing lawns, delivering newspapers, and later joining his father in construction. He spent many years as a garbage man before building his own business, Jeff Aller Hauling, where he sold firewood, did clean-ups, and offered tree services. For the past 22 years, Jeff worked at Lampus (Doren Company), where he was known for his reliability, strong work ethic, quick wit, and legendary grilling skills.

Jeff found happiness in the everyday—tending his vegetable garden, baking cookies, sitting around a campfire, and spending time outdoors. He especially cherished family traditions like annual steelhead trips to Erie and first-day-of-trout outings at Brady’s Run with his grandkids. No matter the weather—rain, sleet, or snow—Jeff was there, making memories. Just this past April, he was out with them again, doing what he loved most.

He took pride in everything he did and passed that pride on to his children and grandchildren. Whether teaching them how to hunt, fish, split wood, or simply enjoy the moment, Jeff was always present, always giving.

If you knew Jeff, you knew he was rarely without a Budweiser in hand—but that never slowed him down. He was a loyal friend, a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and the kind of neighbor everyone hopes to have. His presence was steady, his laughter contagious, and his heart immeasurable.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly and Jess Aller, and his sister, Pamela Mozzy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jayne (Freshwater) Aller; his son, Jesse Aller (Nicole Getz); and his cherished grandchildren: Siya, Arie, and Colten. He is also survived by Jesse’s older children, Faith and Seth Aller; his “adopted” son, Brian Benson; and grandson, Shane Benson.
In keeping with Jeff’s wishes, he chose cremation and was adamant that no funeral service be held. A memorial gathering to celebrate his life may be announced by his wife at a later date.

Jeff will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him in return.
