Jefforey's obituary
Obituary
Jefforey Wayne Eubanks was born on Wednesday, June 12, 1957, in Durham, NC, to the late Jesse Eubanks and Mary Lucas Eubanks. He was the second born of eight children and was the oldest son and brother. He transitioned this earthly life during the morning hours of Thursday, May 2, 2024.
Wayne was a member of Mount Olive Holy Church, Incorporated and was a “changed” man after giving his life to Christ on Sunday, September 3, 2023. His favorite scripture was “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23). He had a very distinct baritone voice, which commanded attention and left a lasting impression whenever he spoke that would long be remembered.
Wayne was an experienced culinarian. He was employed at several establishments throughout Durham, always in positions that showcased his culinary skills. His last employment was at Carver Living Center. He also served briefly in the Army Reserves as a Food Service Specialist.
Wayne was also an avid sports fan. He even played basketball in the community and was rather a good player. He had a particular passion for UNC basketball… GO HEELS!
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Mary L. Eubanks; three daughters, TaSheika Burton (Devon) of Timberlake, NC, Juanica Thomas of Wilmington, NC, Wanetta Carver (Tim) of Zebulon, NC; and two sons, Jefforey (“Scooter”) Eubanks and Kimmond Eubanks, both of Raleigh, NC. He also leaves five brothers, Ricky Eubanks of Durham, NC, Timmy Eubanks and Glenn Eubanks (Rhonda) of Stem, NC, Todd Eubanks (Lekeisha) of Wendell, NC, Torian Eubanks (Temicka) of Morrisville, NC, and two sisters, Doris Eubanks and Gloria Eubanks McKeithan (TC) of Durham, NC; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild as well as an adopted “brother from another mother”, Herman Moore (Teresa) of Stem, NC; an adopted “sister from another mister”, Louise (#9) Millner of Mebane, NC, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Wayne may be gone from us naturally and physically, but he will NEVER be forgotten, for we will lovingly hold his memories in our hearts forever.
WAYNE, WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!!!
