Jeff's obituary

Jeffery Brian Woerner, a man whose laughter and love for life touched everyone he met, passed away October 7.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Woerner; Children, Kaitlyn Woerner and Kyle Woerner; Dogs: Onyx, Arya, Koda, Little Bit, and Roxy. Brother, Roger Hugh Woerner III; Uncle, Rick Woerner. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Sandy Woerner; Dogs: Bogey, Mojo, Sox, Pugsy, Zeus, Nix.

Known for his quick wit and humor, Jeff brought joy and levity to even the most ordinary moments. His love for sports, especially his favorite teams, was only rivaled by his passion for finding the best local breweries and sharing a cold one with those he loved.

Jeff’s bond with his dogs was something special; they were his constant companions and always by his side, offering loyalty and love. Whether on long walks, at the park, or just relaxing at home, his dogs were a core part of his world.

A friend to many, Jeff had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, always with a smile or a joke to lighten the mood. He lived a life filled with passion, laughter, and a deep love for the things and people that mattered most.

Jeff will be missed deeply by his family, friends, and his beloved dogs, but his spirit will live on in the happy memories shared by all who knew him.

Rest in peace, Jeffery Woerner. You’ll always be remembered with a smile.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 16, at 4pm, at St. Josephine Bakhita Parish, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd, Columbus, OH 43229. A reception, and further celebration of life, will begin at 5pm/conclusion of Mass at Zaftig Brewing Co & Taproom, 7020 Huntley Rd #A Columbus, OH 43229.

To honor Jeff’s love of sports, and specifically Ohio State, please wear jeans and Ohio State gear (or your favorite college/sports team) to all celebrations.
