Jeffery's obituary
**In Loving Memory of Jeffrey Charles “Red Rose” Souders Sr.**
Jeffrey Charles Souders Sr., lovingly known to friends and family as “Red Rose,” passed away on October 21, 2025, in Pueblo, Colorado, at the age of 71. Though Colorado never truly felt like home to him, his heart always belonged to Pennsylvania — and now, he’s on his journey back there.
Jeff was born on November 5, 1953, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to Frank and Anna Lee Transue, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his beloved son, Brian Cameron.
He is survived by his children — Jeffrey Souders Jr. (wife, Candy), Phillip Cameron Sr. (wife, Sieh), and James Souders (wife, Theresa) — along with his cherished grandchildren: granddaughters Nichole Emily Souders, Justina Mackenzie Souders, Kyra Camerom; and grandsons PJ “Lil Clucky” Cameron (Phillip Jr. ) and Johnathan Donald Souders. He also leaves behind his sister, Kim Finn, and many friends who will always remember his laughter and one-of-a-kind spirit.
A proud U.S. Army veteran, Jeff served his country as a 63J. After his service, he built a life centered around hard work, humor, and his passions. He founded Jeff’s Metal Hauling, a recycling business that grew into a fleet of over five trucks — a testament to his drive and dedication. When he wasn’t working, Jeff could often be found out in nature, rock hunting — a lifelong passion that reflected his eye for beauty in the rough.
Jeff’s laugh was contagious, his personality unforgettable, and his sense of humor legendary. He lived life his own way — and on his own terms. One memory that perfectly captures his spirit is the time he burst into the living room wearing nothing but thermal underwear, “riding” a broom to Ginuwine’s *Pony.* That was Jeff — hilarious, free-spirited, and unapologetically himself.
He will be remembered as a father, husband, brother, veteran, rock hound, recycler, storyteller, and a man who could make anyone laugh — even on the hardest days.
A private memorial service will be held by the family on November 5, 2025, what would have been Jeff’s 72nd birthday — a fitting day to celebrate the life, laughter, and love he brought into the world.
