Jeffery's obituary
Jeffery "Little Jeff" Randolph Jr., age 42, passed away on March 23, 2026, in Berkeley, Illinois. Born on October 12, 1983, in Chicago, Illinois, Jeffery lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and hard work.
Jeffery graduated from Proviso West High School in 2001 and briefly attended Olivet Nazarene University. In January 2004, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. During his military career, Specialist Randolph served as both an Aviation Operations Specialist and a Chemical Operations Specialist. He completed two tours of duty in Korea and Iraq as an aircraft mechanic, demonstrating courage and commitment throughout his service. His exemplary contributions were recognized with numerous awards, including the Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbons. Jeffery concluded his active military service in March 2008.
Following his military career, Jeffery worked as a forklift materials handler at Protrans International Inc., where he continued to exemplify diligence and reliability.
Above all else, Jeffery cherished his role as a father to his beloved son, Jaylen James Randolph. Jaylen was the light of Jeffery’s life and his greatest blessing. Jeffery’s love for his family extended deeply to those closest to him. He is survived by his devoted parents, Jeffery Randolph Sr. and Sandra (Benson) Randolph; his younger brother Jamal Randolph; his nephews Carmello and Dominic; and his ex-spouse Rosha (Reid) Phillips. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Jeffery is reunited in eternal rest with his grandparents Reece Randolph, Brookie Randolph, Samuel Benson, and Corine Benson.
Jeffery’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him for the love he shared with others and the sacrifices he made for both family and country. His passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved him.
