I was blessed to cross paths with Jeff many times in many professional and social venues.  From Sustainable Tulsa (now The Sustainability Alliance), to the Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance's board, and connecting in the gym on a regular basis.  Jeff was one of my favorite Tulsans as I always walked away from our discussions a smarter person!  Such a gracious guy, I dearly miss my friend Jeff.....miss having serendipitous encounters and scheduled meetings, he absolutely always brought a smile to my face and soul!
Jeff was so fun, intelligent, and fabulous!  I miss his witty banter and the inciteful knowledge he so willingly shared.  I learned something new about myself and life anytime we spoke.  Thinking about Jeff and his amazing wife today...

I have had no contact in many decades, but I knew Jeff when we were both undergrads at Austin College (I was in the same class as his brother Rod). He sort of took me under his wing, and we had fun doing some rather wingy things. I remember most sharing poetry and ESP experiences.

Tender thoughts to Cynthia and family.

I met Jeff in 1986 while working together at Creative Communications Group. In 1987 I recommended Jeff to one of my clients at the time - The Thomas Group. After an interview, they hired him to handle their public relations. This company was an international business consulting company which partnered with failing companies and through their 5 I's program, turned them around from failure to success. Through Jeff's contribution their business increased substantially. Jeff was not only a business associate but a good friend of mine. Jeff contributed to my spiritual growth by introducing me and my family to the Unity church. I'll never forget the Scot wedding complete with kilts and bagpipes. A perfect union between he and his lovely wife Cynthia. They were/are two of the most intelligent and interesting people I know. My wife Cynthia and I will always have great memories of our time spent with Jeff and Cynthia. As Jeff's nickname "El Jeffe" Jeff always called me "Larry Lee" even though my middle name is David. Always Jeff's since of humor. We had many great laughs together. We both liked to approach life with curiosity and amazement. I will miss this jovial friend of mine but he will always have a place in my heart. Cynthia too.
I met and knew Jeff from both of our attending the Focal Point business/professional mens' lunches and small group meetings. I enjoyed talking to him and Cynthia when she accompanied him. He was knowledgeable about many things, including spiritual matters and obviously about the business world where he consulted, I suspect quite effectively for his clients. After Focal Point evolved into another Cru organization I enjoyed emailing with Jeff occasionally and in getting his holiday texts which were always very colorful and often insightful. I'm sure he is with our Lord and Savior now.

Thank you Father for Dr. Jeff. I met him and Cynthia through social media and our shared interest in faith in the marketplace and leadership. I'm grateful for his willingness to share, to think and add value to any discussion or any project. He was steady and he made a difference in so many lives. It was great to see him at different events around town and to meet people that already knew him. And I will miss him, but my prayers will be for his family, because he's in a great place now.
I met Dr. Jeff in the 2012 timeframe. We were at an event in Waco Texas. I was getting some coffee, as was Jeff. He was struggling a bit to pour his coffee so I offered assistance. From that day on Jeff and I became friends. God has the ability to place special people in our lives at the right time. This was one of those times. I am so thankful I was able to meet El Jeffe. He taught so me so much and offered advice (professionally and personally) just when I needed it. Without him, I can honestly say I may not be here today to celebrate his life and legacy.
Cherished memories
of heartfelt conversations
to sustain us now

Well done, good and faithful servant. Grateful to know such a brilliant, loving man. Lifting Cynthia and family to carry on.
Jeff distinguished himself from so many others by always approaching conversations with the right mix of curiosity and intentional listening, coupled with such an extraordinary desire to share wisdom freely.

To Jeff: A wondrous shooting star, whose brilliance made sparkle the hearts and souls of everyone and everything he touched. As you now merge into the great silence of the Universal All, your love and caring remain deeply embedded in our hearts. For 55 years you have been and always will forever remain my soul-brother; a dancing poet, libre penser and a loving and dedicated husband and father.

Dr Jeff was an amazing human being and I am honored to have been his friend. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. He was truly an amazing man~
Jeff knew the Savior and loved him.

It seems somehow fitting that we should grieve his death as we commit his ashes to the columbarium on Holy Saturday --the day of grief.

But the story's not over. The best is yet to come for all of us. We anticipate that tomorrow (Easter Sunday) --but Jeff is already tasting the unimaginable joy of the nearer presence of the risen Lord Jesus --whom he loves! What a glorious day it will be for all of us on that Day of days!

When I first heard from my dear friend Cynthia that her (and my) beloved “Dr. Jeff” had passed, my breath momentarily left me. It was like the moment of lift off from a cliff as on an eagles’ grand wings...your breath is taken away by the awe of the eagle’s dip and nearly immediate rise. In that moment, no question arose as to where Dr. Jeff had gone. As to the timing, it is as if he gave witness to what he and God both understood all along - no one on earth can presume to know God’s timing so we must simply live each day, each moment in great gratitude for every breath we take and every step we make. That is what Jeff did. With an intellect that bordered on a view from God’s throne (unable to be understood by many and unable to be translated by most), so Jeff viewed our world here on earth. Gifted with wisdom and storytelling, Jeff was always a loving friend while he subtly served as a mentor. To me, he was not only a friend and mentor, but he was an encourager and a beacon of light to a ship that was looking for shore in the dark of a long, long fortnight. His presence will be missed but I am confident his footprints will be seen for years and years to come...our love is with you Cynthia and the children. He spoke of you all every time we met or talked with endearing live, amazing pride and pure joy. Fly high on those Eagle’s wings my friend, none of us is far behind you and we all have learned better how to lice from you....Nancy and Dan Roberts

I speak for so many when I say that Jeff was a good man, a wise man, a generous man, and a man whose presence will be missed across our many communities. I had the pleasure of getting to know Jeff over many years as was captivated by his pure wisdom of experience so freely shared with us all. Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to his dear wife Cynthia and family.

I didn't get to know Dr. Jeff as well as I would have liked, but I know his sons (especially Sean) quite well. The best measure of a man is what his sons become, and they are two of the most generous and wonderful men I have the great fortune of knowing. You will be missed, Dr. Jeff. Fois dhut.

I was heartbroken when I received the call about my friend, mentor, confidant, and coach Dr. Jeff who I often referred as “El Jeffe”. As I sit here today early in the morning, I would often receive a quick text or photo from Jeff with inspirational words of wisdom. He was the smartest person I have ever known. His gentle words and strong demeanor is what brought us together over ten years ago. I will miss our daily texts and weekly phone calls. Jeff was “The Boss”. I love you and will miss you my brother in Christ.

Thinking of you all and sending love, support and strength your way every day. When I think of Jeff, my favorite memories are of sitting on mom and dads deck, having a meal or drink and talking for hours; he had such a passion for exploring new ideas and his excitement was infectious. I will dearly miss his intellectual curiosity and giant heart.

I was heartbroken to hear from Dr. Stuart’s passing. It’s not often in life that a human being outside your family touch you in such a deep and profound way. That was Dr. Stewart a man of exceptional intelligence, kindness towards others and who so loved his family. He was a terrific story teller. Jeff would share stories that were so captivating that you didn’t want to leave because you realized you were in the presence of greatness! Dr. Stewart help me personally and our firm with his awesome insight, strategic thinking, and an abundance of shear kindness. Jeff was a gentle soul whose Christianity was present in his presence always focused on serving others greater than himself. I miss you sir! My God welcome you home!

DrJeff was larger than life itself in my eyes. It was a privilege to have him as my research mentor who became my friend. Dr. Jeffs greatest love was his family and next to that his community. Time was his greatest gift to give others. I have always cherished our lunches and coffee meetings. Time stood still and I knew each and every time to soak it up. This was a gift he generously shared w many.

This is a great loss. He was stability, hope, inspiration, comfort and deeply believed dreams could come true.
