My condolences to Jeff's family and loved ones. He was a great guy. He did all of the electrical work in our house for practically free; that's how generous of a guy he was to his friends. We lost contact a few years back, but I will always remember him as a great friend. What I will remember the most, is his great sense of humor, and his laid back personality. RIP, friend.

Jefferson and I reconnected in July of 2017. It was like no time had passed, though it had been 20+years. He was sweet and considerate and very loving. We spent 9 months with me visiting him (living out of state) and his daughter. We had a lot of fun together. Sadly, his illness really took hold of him in starting February of 2018. He started in home hospice in March. His health declined from there and he was bedridden the last 3 weeks. His family was kind enough to allow me to move in so I could be with him and help care for him and his daughter. I will always treasure this precious time with him. I wanted to be there until the end and I got to do that for him. I was asleep next to his hospital bed when he stopped breathing. It woke me. I jumped up and checked him for breath while calling the nurse. He had a faint heart beat. I hope he could feel and maybe hear that I was with him up until he was pronounced at 9:16 a.m.
