Jeff Young, 48, of Salisbury NC, passed away September 1st, 2025 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House of Salisbury. 

Jeff was born in Gastonia, NC to the late Danny and Dottie Young on February 7th, 1977. 

As a bartender for over 20 years at different locations in Salisbury, his self taught bartending skills often outmatched those who had been officially trained. He loved playing guitar, which he did for over 25 years, and playing video games, which was a life long passion. 

He had a way of entering a room and instantly taking it over with his ability to make people laugh. He always had a random, sometimes crude comment to make you laugh hysterically, and many times blush at the same time from the awkwardness. You never knew what to expect, but you could always count on him to lighten the mood with his filterless comedy. 

Jeff is survived by his wife, Deborah Stokes Young, also of Salisbury. He also leaves behind many friends who will forever miss his randomness, his way of turning a normal conversation into an awkward conversation with ease, and his ability to make a bad situation just seem a little better by making you forget about it with his comedy. 

He will be greatly missed.
