Music is a tough business. You are always asked to compromise from who will play on your recordings and how the songs will be played. Except for the years 1974-1977 I kept my day job. I always made choices to be able to include music. Have you looked us up on YouTube?  Joshua Stone Band  I have over 40 videos there. We had a 50 year success story (off & on) but were working most weekends. I always liked Jeff and actually have 1 of his LP's and a year before he died he sent me some recordings via email. I had a friend during grade school who lived 1/2 mile away. Sometimes when I'd ride my bike over to his house (Jeff lived on the way) I'd stop and hear him playing. A few years later I took up guitar. Maybe Jeff had a hand in it. More likely it was Chuck Berry.  We were playing at the Travelodge and I found out Jeff was playing a place within walking distance. So on a break (took a long one) and went to hear him and the band. I remember they did Bony Maroni real good. Awhile after that I heard him doing a solo. He had some drum machine playing with him and it was a full sound.  When I began doing solo work in 1996 I used one and I could not have done some of the music I did without it. There's one video on YouTube that includes every song I've ever written ( I think about 6). If you have some time to kill go there for a listen. I found out Jeff had passed when I tried to call the # he gave me.     It was just before his Birthday. I'm glad I knew him a little bit. I was probably a pest, but I still got to hang with the big kids, I'm glad to share on this memorial. Jeff had 2 daughters did he not? I hope you both had a good relationship with him. He was OK to me.

Jeff was a very loyal and caring person, with a quiet charisma.

Also, his work ethic was nonpareil.

I assisted Jeff with setting up his sound systems for his FIDM shows in downtown Los Angeles.

Jeff taught me a great deal about the vital details of the sound industry.

Rest in Peace in that Great Waterbed up in the Sky, Jeff. We love you.

My condolences to Jeff's family. I first met Jeff when he was a friend to my brother John Anderson. I would ride my bike past his house and hear Jeff playing the guitar. Jeff would hang out with my brother and I'd be there too. I was 7 years younger. In 1970 I became a professional musician and ran into Jeff and his band a couple of times. Years went by and when my brother passed away on Thanksgiving Day 2021 I reached out to Jeff. We talked of old time. I remember his car was a Henry J at one time. I even bought his 1957 Ford and drove it to high school. I'm thankful I had this conversation with Jeff. I have an LP of his solo work . I will always remember Jeff.
