Jeannine Marilyn Smith (née Hood) of Milford Delaware passed away on March 6, 2023 at home.

Jeannine was born on August 4, 1932 in Wolcott, Vermont and was a certified nursing assistant (CNA) and elder care professional. She was recognized for her exemplary care for Alzheimer patients and was honored with a state award for her work. Jeannine was a loving and devoted family member who held her faith in Jesus Christ close to her heart. She was highly skilled in crafts, evidenced by the numerous awards she was given at the state fair for her artwork and sewing.

Jeannine is survived by her Son Michael Miller; Daughter Barbara Green; Daughter Kim Rothrock; Son Samuel Smith II; Son Jesse Smith II and 18 grandchildren. Jeannine was a beloved mother and grandmother; she was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Jones. A memorial service will be held in honor of Jeannine on Saturday, March 25th, 2023 at 12pm at First Baptist Church, Milford. Family and friends are invited to share memories and express their condolences. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the charity of their choice.
