Mark, I am so sorry for your loss. I am from Memphis but live in Mobile. My husband Henry and I were good friends with Jeannie when she lived Mobile. She and Bill joined a Supper Club that we were part of and our friendship began there. ( We all went to the same church). We visited her in Tyler and also in Memphis whenever possible. She was a dear sweet friend and was so happy when you became part of her life! I will miss her, as I know you will.  Jean Ross Moncrief

I am Judi Shumpert from Eupora.  Ann Hardy, now in Heaven, is my sister.  She and Jeannie were lifelong friends, and even though I was younger, Jeannie was always my friend, too.  I also lived in Jackson about a year when Jeannie was there, then taught school near Memphis when she was there.  When I taught school on the Mississippi Coast, she and Bill lived in Mobile.  We  were able to visit some in  each place.  Jeannie was like a second sister who was always caring and fun to be with.  After returning to Eupora to care for my mom until her passing,  Jeannie and Tiny  treated me to lunch to show their sympathy and love for our family.  I met you, Mark, after Mrs. Bailey's funeral.  Thank you for your love and care for Jeannie.  I would come for Jeannie's service if my husband could travel, but his health issues restrict it now.

Blessings to you and your family,

Judi Bland Shumpert
