You were really a good friend and it was always good to see you and get together.  Fred

Jeannette and I are first cousins. She is two days older than me. When we were tiny tots, we lived a couple of blocks away from each other. I have pictures of us together when we were about two years old. We were so cute! We went to Kindergarten together in the same school.  Both of our parents moved to different cities when I was in the 1st grade. I remember having sleepovers together. In our teens, we both listened to the same radio station in the evening. One could call the station and request a song be played in someone's name. She would request one in my name and several evenings later I'd request one in her name. We thought that was the coolest thing! When we graduated from High School, we had a large graduation party given to us by our parents held at a local Metro Park. So much fun! When I bought my first car, close to our birthdays I'd take Jeannette out to a fancy restaurant in Detroit. I can't even remember the names of those restaurants today. But that was our special treat! I also remember taking her for summer evening drives through Elizabeth Park which is a County park located in Trenton, MI. That was THE place go! We thought we'd meet some nice good-looking guys but that never happened. We never met anyone! People today still drive through that park just to show off their cars or motorcycles.  Jeannette was the quieter one of the two of us. I was the talkative one and energetic. Still am! I always enjoyed our times together later in life when she'd fly from Arizona and would stay with us. Later, the stairs leading up to our bedrooms made it more and more difficult for her and I didn't want her to fall and injure herself.  I worried about her. We'd go out to lunch and talk and talk catching up on family news. I know as time goes on, I will remember many other wonderful times we shared together! I do know she loved her family with all her heart!

As the family knows, I met Jeanette and Ruthanne at Harvest Community Church of the Nazarene, in Lincoln Park, when I first joined about 10 years or so ago. I was welcomed in as if I had been there forever. Jeanette was the sweetest and kindest person that one could ever know.  she was always wanting to help with preparations for our dinners and for our Thursday Bible studies and you could not keep her down. When Ruthanne and Jeanette moved to Ohio, it was a big loss to all of us, but in saying that Jeanette always would send us little messages while she was at her new residence so we could respond back to her.  I know in my heart that she was ready to go meet our Lord and Savior.   I will be forever grateful for her friendship that she showed me.  my condolences to the whole family for your loss and may God bless each and every one of you. Your friend always.  ❤️ Kathy Bridges.
