Jeanne Marie Spiceland ( née Sutterfield) passed away November  2,  2024  in Boone, NC.   

Born  on  February  27,  1953  in Dearborn,  MI.  Jeanne dedicated her life to  caring for others.  She  graduated Dearborn  High  School in 1971,  and received  her RN degree in 1975 from Henry Ford Commmunity College.

Over her 40 year career as a registered nurse she worked in  ICU,  Oncology, Hospice  care,  and also in a Bariatric Treatment Center.   Her compassion and dedication made a lasting impact on every one she cared for.  Helping people brought her joy.

Jeanne is survived by her husband David Spiceland; her brother,  Alan;  sister, Sharon;  children  Benjamin  and  Sarah; bonus children Rachel McCauley and Josh Spiceland.   She was a  proud grandmother to three granddaughters and especially cherished trips to the zoo with  Clementine.   Jeanne was preceeded in death by her parents Selwyn and Helen Sutterfield.

Beyond her profession,  Jeanne was known for her creativity and warmth.  She had a passion for baking and decorating delicious birthday cakes,  sewing intricate Halloween costumes for her children,  and knitting beautiful creations.  She enjoyed roadtrips that involved coffee and dogs - especially Yorkies.  Her sense of humor,  generosity, and crafty spirit brought joy to those around her.

Jeanne always  put others first, embodying  kindness in every aspect of her life.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
