Background
In lieu of flowers, Jeanne's wish was to have gifts in her memory made to her longtime church in Raleigh, St Mark's Episcopal Church. St Mark's Parish sadly closed for church services in 2022. However, the diocese continues to maintain the memorial gardens on church grounds, and is in the process of revitalizing the church facilities into a worshiping outreach center for the surrounding community. Gifts in Jeanne's memory may be made to St Mark's Memorial Garden care of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina, 4800 Six Forks, Suite 300, Raleigh, North Carolina 27609.
As an additional consideration, Holy Cross Episcopal Church of Valle Crucis was Jeanne's spiritual home anytime she was in the mountains. During the pandemic, she was often comforted by watching the livestream of their services. As with St Mark's, Jeanne would surely be honored by any gifts to their authentic and vibrant faith community. Contribute
