Jeanne's obituary
Jeanne M Fischer, 80, of Minooka, IL, passed away on March 21, 2022.
Jeanne was born on March 18, 1942 to Anthony and LaVergne Witkowski in Chicago, IL. In 1958, Jeanne married her true love, Robert (Bob), going on to have four children, Mike (Carolyn), John, Dan, and Rick (Sherry).
When Jeanne had Mike, she decided to dedicate her life to being a homemaker. With a passion for cooking, Jeanne made certain her husband and sons had warm home-cooked meals every day. Once her sons became older, Jeanne began her career as a school bus driver for Cass Transportation. Jeanne enjoyed more than 20 years as a driver for school-aged children. Jeanne often reflected on those days with such a fondness for each student she encountered during her career, many who have kept in touch with her to date whether it be sending Christmas cards or invitations to weddings and baby showers. In 1979, Jeanne gained a new title of Grandma and by 2008 Jeanne had four grandchildren, Joe, Colin, Sophia, and Cade to call her own. Then in 2015 Jeanne was crowned "GiGi" as she was now a great-grandmother to baby Joey. When she wasn’t filling her home with warm baked goods and Dr. Quinn on the TV, she could be found spending time with her dear friends from her swim club. We will miss her greatly. Jeanne was predeceased by her husband, Bob, and son John, in addition to her sister Barbara Milewski. She is survived by sister, Judy Pahl, cousin, Evy Andrews and cousin, Jack Leese, her sons, daughters-in-law, Carolyn and Sherry, grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to Center Cass School District 66- "Team 66" . Please contact Team 66 at team66@ccsd66.org for ways to donate. A celebration of life is to be scheduled at a later date.
