Jeanne (Eljean) Pettersen of Maplewood, Minnesota, went home to Jesus on September 19, 2024 at age 94.  

Jeanne was born to Bill and Dora Campbell on December 31, 1929 in Wasioja, Minnesota.  She graduated valedictorian from Mantorville Senior High in 1947.   Jeanne met her husband, Don Pettersen, a sergeant in the Air Force, in Minneapolis in 1950.  When he was transferred to Fairbanks, Alaska in 1951, she joined him there and they were married.   They went on to have 3 children, Linda (1952), Carl (1956) and Bill (1963).  Don retired from the Air Force in 1971, in Hawaii, and the family relocated to St. Paul, MN.   In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Jeanne also had a beautiful voice and loved singing, and teaching children how to sing.  Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.  Jeanne joins her son Carl in Heaven.  She is survived by Linda (Lonnie) Thayer, Bill Pettersen, and grandchildren David and Katie Thayer and Henry Pettersen.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Velma Quimby, and brothers Neil, Ralph, and Gale Campbell.   A family Celebration of Life was held on September 28, 2024.  Private interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Mantorville, MN in Spring 2025.

Jeanne was a loving daughter, sister, Mom, Grandma and friend, and will be sorely missed.
