Jeanne d’Arc's obituary
She will be sorely missed and in the hearts of her eight stepchildren Tony(Pat) Michelle (Daniel)Magalie, Daniel(Jane), Norman, Guy (Lorraine),Lise((Jacques) and Nicole.
She was Mémère Jeanne to her twelve grandchildren: Cindy, Sonia,Julie Tonie, Lisa, Norman, Mariah, Janelle, Jaeda, Jennifer, Lindsay, Aleric.
Also to her ten great grandchildren: Élizabeth, Sam,John,Julien, Andréa , Jase,Misha, Saoirse, Leah and Henry.
Jeanne d’Arc came into our lives and helped our Dad to carry on after we lost our mother Fernande in 1979.
She married our father in 1986 and they had sixteen wonderful years together until his death in 2002.
Her pastimes were singing in the choir at St-Vincent church, sewing ,playing piano and mastering bridge. She was a wicked cribbage player who once beat our father eleven straight games during one rainy day when the were wintering in Portugal. Both shared a passion for travel , history, geography and reading.
She became a part of the family, and as such for some, she was the only grandma they knew.
She always had space at her table no matter how unpromptu the visit and more importantly, always had space in her heart. There was no limit, as her family grew, so did her heart.
She had a great sense of humor and a beautiful laugh that filled the room with love. In quiet moments you could often hear her humming a tune as music fed her soul and as such spilled over to ours.
She continued after his death to share so many wonderful moments with us up until her passing.
We will miss her dearly.
We are comforted to know that she is now at peace.
Goodnight, bonsoir, chère Jeanne D’Arc/ Mémère Jeanne.
