Janine Alice Marks (née Auxier), known affectionally as Jeanie, passed away on July 9, 2024, at the age of 54 in Columbus, Ohio. Born on March 5, 1970, in Jackson, she was a beacon of joy and community spirit throughout her life.

Jeanie graduated from Jackson High School and remained a vibrant part of her community. She was known for her radiant personality, boundless energy, and the love she held for her garden, which was her sanctuary and a place of great happiness.

She leaves behind a legacy of laughter and cherished memories. Jeanie is survived by her sister, Leslie Diehl, and nieces, Amanda and Angela Diehl. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Joseph Marks, her mother, Julia Ann Chapman, and her father, Robert Gene Auxier.

A memorial service celebrating Jeanie’s life will be held at the home of her sister, Leslie Diehl. Jeanie's life was a testament to the power of kindness and community involvement, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
