Jeanie's obituary

We gather today to honor and remember Jeanie Tumminello whose life was filled with moments that left a lasting impact on her family, friends, and community. Born March 20, 1955 on the first day of spring in Hazel Park, Michigan, the daughter of Dolores (Muentener) and Peter Prutchick and sister to Linda and Elaine. Jeanie came into this world with a song in her heart, and on May 17, 2025 left with a song for those who loved her.
Jeanie married John Tumminello on June 15, 1986 under a warm summer sun. She leaves behind her beloved husband John Tumminello, Son, Vincent James (Nicole) Tumminello and Daughter, Lisa Marie (Brandyn) Sequin. As well as her six beautiful grandchildren Katherine, Isabella, Andrew, Teagan, Emma, and Moira.
She was known as a person of pure heart, strength, giving and kindness, whose belief in the power and guidance of the Lord was evident to all who crossed her path. She excepted Jesus as her Savior as an older child. Her favorite time was spent with her grandchildren and family. She had a huge heart for animals and adored her dogs Tanner and Teddy. She enjoyed camping, fishing, long walks and shopping. She loved showering those around her with gifts. But most importantly she always shared the love of the Lord to those around her.
The funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at Lakepointe Church, located at 53245 Van Dyke Ave, Shelby Twp, 48316. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the viewing at 10:00 am, followed by a service at 11:30 am, where we will come together to share memories, find comfort, and honor her legacy.
As we reflect on her life, we find solace in the words of Psalm 28:7: "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart exalts, and with my song I praise him." This scripture, a testament to her enduring faith, offers us a sense of peace and hope as we bid farewell.
In these moments of remembrance, may we hold close the shared experiences, lessons, and love that will forever remain in our hearts. As we say goodbye, let us also celebrate a life well-lived and the impact she had on those around her.
In leu of flowers donations can be made at the memorial service to plant a tree in her memory or to St. Judes Children hospital.
