Mum, We miss you already, your crooked laugh, your practical jokes, your roast lamb in the electric frypan, that somehow magically feeds 14 people, there’s not ever enough time or words to say all the things you feel, that can truly show or explain what someone means in our life and why.
But From the moment I met you as your daughters new boyfriend, I felt like I was already just another member of your family, it was like somehow you knew what lay ahead, you gave me the keys to the prairie, said go buy me a packet of smokes and take these beers to my old man up in Kariong.
We spent the Christmas holidays together as a family beside the waterfront at Woy Woy, it was one of your favourite places and those times are some of the best of my whole life.
You were my mother in law then my mum, you became my friend and then my Allie.
You have been so strong in your life and more brave facing the end than anyone I’ve known. You now give me strength and wisdom I am comforted now only knowing you will always watch over our kids, your family.
I will see you again, I hope your taste in coffee improves because you’ll need to put the jug on for me next time.

Jeanette I met you and immediately we formed a relationship, you made us laugh with your wicked sense of humor that ran in your family. You loved dancing and rocked the floor at the Saturday night dance. I moved away and sadly never got to catch up , but that doesn't mean I never thought of you. My only regret I never asked how you could fit smokes,lighter,money and whatever else down your bra lol. Miss you Noddy <3

All I can really say Nan is that I promise to tell my kids, my grandkids and my great kids about you. I promise to tell the world about how great of a woman you were and how you deserved so much more than the hand you were dealt. I hope that heaven is really as great as they describe it. I hope you’re with your beautiful daughter and that you get to spend the rest of eternity with those you love. I can’t wait to see you again. I was extremely saddened by the news of Jeanette's passing.
