Jeanette “Sue” McDowell, 74, of Lawson, MO, passed away on August 16, 2022 with her family by her side. 

Jeanette was born on July 8, 1948 in Lebanon, MO.  She was married to the love of her life, Gary McDowell. They went on to have three children together,  Chris McDowell,  Samantha Firebaugh, and Merrica McDowell.   Jeanette also had a son, Bill Emry, from a previous marriage.  Jeanette dedicated her life to being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Jeanette was a devout Christian who deeply loved the Lord. Jeanette enjoyed shopping, crafting, collecting antiques, and spending time with her family.  We will miss her greatly.  Jeanette was preceded in death by  Spilsby Lamith Coleman, Mabel Coleman, Irene Gohagan, Jeff Gohagan, and Trinton Arthur Phillips.  She is survived by her husband, Gary McDowell, her children,  Chris McDowell (Wendi McDowell), Samantha Firebaugh (Bob Firebaugh), Merrica McDowell (Bryan Hubbard), and Bill Emry, her grandchildren,  Morgan Moore (James Moore), Lane McDowell (Peyton McDowell), Sarah Holles (Marshall Holles), Lily McDowell, Tanner Phillips, and Bellamy Hubbard, her great grandchildren Langston McDowell, Leigha Tiemann, Jude Moore, Olivia Sue McDowell, and Penelope Moore.  There will be a visitation on Saturday, August 20th at 9:00am at Old Union Church in Lawson MO, followed by a funeral service at 10:00am. Graveside service to follow the funeral.
