Jeanetta's obituary

Our beloved mother, Jeanetta Carson, entered into God’s Kingdom on September 27, 2022, on her 67th birthday.

Jeanetta was born to Mitchell Lee Barron, Sr. & Clara Mills on September 27, 1955, in Henderson, TX. Jeanetta was, first and foremost, a loyal servant to the Almighty God. She loved to share the love and teachings of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, witnessing to hundreds of people over the years. Jeanetta attended Kilgore College and the University of Texas at Arlington, studying Early Childhood Development. She was a member of Bethel Temple of Longview as well as The Potter’s House of Dallas and was the founder of I Speak Life Ministries. Jeanetta joins her mother and father in Heaven, along with her brother, Mitchell Lee Barron, Jr. (Peter), her son, John Moses Barron, her daughter, Chavela Shanette Slaughter, and her nephew, Michael Ray Barron, Jr. She is survived by her loving children Jackie Lee Barron, Clara Slaughter, Shatiqueka Carson, Monique Carson-Dawson (Toriano), Shavela Carson, and Victoria Davis as well as her youngest brother, Michael Ray Barron (Sheila). Holding a special place in her heart are her beloved grandchildren Crystal Kenner, Shaun Brockington, Jr., LaDarius Blanton, Precious Kwaramba, Malachi Barron, Sahara Smith, John Barron, Jr., David Hayes, Caliyah Barron, Hannah Fletcher, and Brayden Fletcher, as well as one nephew, two nieces, and a host of great-grandchildren and other relatives.  Her favorite Bible verse is Psalms 91 from the unadulterated Word of God stating, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty”.
