Jeanene's obituary

Jeanene Mari Namisnik (nee White) was born in Sioux City, Iowa 1936.  Jeanie passed away peacefully holding the hand of the love of her life and husband of over  63 years on January 27, 2023, in Sacramento California.

Jeanie grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota; graduated from Washington High School, Sioux Falls;  attended Macalester College, St. Paul Minnesota and the University of Iowa, Iowa City Iowa.

She met the love of her life, Gary Namisnik, in 1957.  They married on Thursday Aug, 21, 1958, at the First Presbyterian Church, Fort Dodge, Iowa.

After Gary's service in the U.S. Navy, they relocated to Northern California, where they raised four children.  Jeanie worked as an Instructional Aide for Folsom Cordova Unified School District for 20 years. Teaching children and sharing her love of learning brought her great joy.

After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with family especially her grandchildren.  She also love traveling, good food and wine, playing bridge with long time friends, shutting down every museum she visited, and snuggling with her puppy dogs.

Jeanie is preceaded in death by her mother, Dorothy Moore (nee Parker)

She is survived by her husband, Gary Namisnik.  Children: Julie Low of San Jose, CA; John Namisnik and wife Wendy of Sacramento, CA; Karen Hunerwadel and husband JP of Prattville, AL;  Amy Wallace of Rancho Cordova, CA.  Grandchildren: Emily Hunerwadel of Northampton, MA; Lanie Hunerwadel of Prattville, AL; Kaitlyn Low of San Jose, CA; and William and Nena Wallace of Rancho Cordova, CA.

We will miss her greatly, but cherish every memory.
