We are still mourning Jim and Jean. I used to send him emails after Jean died. I still now automatically go to his email adress. I will not delete it. They were our best friends and Jock and I think about them everyday. Still so sad!

I knew Jean and I had birthdays close to each other ! Mine is 15 th! Our kathy worked with Kathy Tinker at Armstrong ! She was dance partner to our Chris in fun class we all took together in 1992! Our kathy died in 2002! I didn’t realize your kathy did too! They were great friends at Armstrongs! Your parents were good friends of ours ! We use to discuss phone bills when everyone was in college ! Heavenly Happy Birthday Jean ! Always remember how you made hats out of wrapping paper before Christmas dinner! We did that too!

AJ, Karen, and Jennifer- I don't even know where to start. Jean and all of you were such a special part of my life in the 80s and '90s, and remain a part of my children's lives. I remember those special times at the Outer Banks, especially looking forward to Jean's laugh. My favorite moment with Jean was once at Mary Beth's church, and the associate pastor got up to speak. His name was Mr. Edd and Jean and I thought that was just hilarious. We were giggling uncontrollably, would get ourselves together, and then look at each other out of the corners of our eyes and just start laughing again. My blessings, my hugs, and my love to all of you.

Some say you don't know what you have until it's gone.... not true for us.. we definitely KNEW how great Jean was and now we FEEL how great she was as we miss her deeply in our hearts-- even our dog, Simba, had a special relationship with Jean as he would leave our yard and run down her driveway to the back door and bark and wait for her to bring him a treat -we often laughed about that - I certainly hope he was there to greet her in heaven wagging his tail on January 2nd-- we will miss our back stoop to back stoop conversations over the fence and sharing stories of her grandchildren and our children-- she will live in our hearts and minds and I will think of her every morning when I complete the Wordle.
