Gigi with the grandkids and m…

Gigi with the grandkids and moms in Aspen!
Jean-Jeanne was one of the great ones! I remember so many hockey trips, skating parties on the lake, vacations, and the later Aspen visits, all wonderful memories. She was always one of the "fun parents" growing up, and certainly kept that loving childlike spirit her whole life. We'll all miss her, but rejoice in the love she brought to everyone she knew.

Drew, Kathy and family:

Your mom will be missed by all who knew her...Amy and I will miss her as well. We never encountered Jeannie without her welcoming smile. She was a clear channel of God’s love and joy to everyone she met...how much brighter is her joy now in the very presence of Jesus! I know that joy lives on in you both and in your families. We are grateful to know you all.

I am sorry for your loss Drew and Kathy. Jeannie was an inspiration to me and everyone she came into contact with. She was dedicated to BSF and so good at facilitating groups because - she "loved her neighbor as herself." She included everyone in the discussion so kindly as her twinkling eye met theirs ins her special way, making them feel her love. I loved seeing Jeannie because we always went right to a meaningful topic and I'd come away from it with new insights. Jeannie was loving and inspiring while here and the angels are singing today as she goes through the welcome line, high-fiving everyone she helped get there including Don. May God give you peace as you're reminded of what a great lady Jeannie is.
Although Aunt Jeannie is now rejoicing with the angels in heaven, she was a human angel down here on earth, and so many lives have been blessed through hers. I always looked forward to visiting the Livingstons because her contagious smile and her fun-loving spirit always made you glad you came. Her love for Jesus shined through everything she did. And she and Uncle Don raised two amazing kids whom I adore. She will be greatly missed. Praying for you all.
Love,
Amy
Knowing Drew and Kathy almost my entire life and still keeping in touch until today just exemplifies the definition of true parenting. I remember their mother fondly. Someone who always had a smile and kind word to say. Prayers to you and your families. Love and God Bless!

I met Jean when our son was in nursery and grade schools with Drew.  We saw each other while picking up our kids after school almost daily.  She was always warm and friendly. After all those daily hellos and chats, we became friends.  I remember those friendly short visits and her beautiful smiles.  I am very sorry to hear about her passing.  My deep condolence to Drew, Kathy, and the family and may she rest in peace.

I am sorry that you have lost your Mom, Grandmother and a woman who was such a great friend to many. I met your Mom and Linda Mills at my first Jr. League meeting. How lucky was I to meet two such great women at the first meeting. I really got to know your Mom when I joined BSF. This was a big part of her life and she was one of the reasons I stuck with BSF. She took her faith seriously but for her life was about having fun. When I think of the twinkle in her eye it makes me tear up. She handled the tough parts of life with grace. She made it easy to reach out and support her when she and Don were both going through cancer. A couple of years after your Dad died she was an amazing support to me and my 27 year old daughter when her husband died of cancer. In the good times and the bad times your Mom had an amazing amount of energy and she supported many with enthusiasm. I loved her for this but even more I appreciated how she encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone. I remember how insistent she could be when I would share something that was on mind but I didn't know if I should follow up on an idea. Your Mom would look me right in the eye and say to me----"if you don't do it--who will?" It is wonderful to have friends that you look up to (not literally, because your Mom was an inch or two shorter than me) and you hope that you emulate her life. She was quite a role model. May God comfort you and keep you close in the days ahead.
Drew and family.... our hearts are heavy for you while also feel joy of being blessed to get to know your mom. We always enjoyed her presence at events that we attended.
Primarily tailgating..It was always a blessing to see her interacting with Peighton and Colton.
We have many wonderful memories of our friend Jeanie. They go back to many years ago when she and Don, Bill and Barb Edwards, and Chris and I spent many fun Friday nights going around the C-U area to small town restaurants to give them ratings. We even had a notebook to document our ratings. We visited many little restaurants and laughed a lot.
We have fond memories of being in Africa with Jeanie serving with Rafiki over the years. In Kenya, Jeanie used her speech therapist talents to test the orphans and help them with their speech. She even performed an anniversary wedding ceremony for our missionary friends. We had a fun time performing, "Keep on the Sunny Side" to raise the spirits of the missionaries and the children.
We have many fond memories of Jeanie spending time at our cottage in Ludington, Michigan including the time that she, Barb Edwards, and I taped a radio commercial for our little neighborhood grocery store. It aired many times.
Our memories and pleasant thoughts of Jeanie are without end. She had a way of always focusing on who she was speaking to and not on herself. She was a wonderful witness to her faith--leading BSF classes, preaching in churches, and in general, just being a mouthpiece for her Lord and Savior. Her love of life, laughter, and fun-loving spirit will certainly be missed, but we know where she is. You ARE on the "Sunny Side", Jeanie!
We love you!

Dear Drew, Kathy and family- I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was like a second mother to me since high school. She was so full of life and laughter. I always felt better after being around her contagious joy. I see those same qualities in both of you. You have this amazing ability to make everyone feel like they are your best friend. I love you guys so much and will be praying for you as you process this loss.
Our family shares your grief in the loss of Gigi. Gigi was such a vibrant beautiful soul who made a difference in all the lives her love touched. I will miss sitting on the deck with her laughing and having fun! We are truly blessed to have spent time with her.
My deepest condolences to your family. I did not know your mom, but I do know she was a special lady to have raised a wonderful son like you, Drew. I was touched by the devotion of you and Brenda spending so much time at the hospital with her.

May your grief be lightened by joyful memories of her and the knowledge that she is at last with the Lord. Please know we will be praying for you all in the weeks and months to come.

We are very sorry for your loss but know that your Mom is at peace. She was one of the kindest women I have ever known way back to the first time we all met as children. I always looked forward to our gatherings in Champaign or on Fripp. Jennifer, Elizabeth, Nicklaus and I are thinking of your entire family. ILL-

Your mom was the kindest woman, always had a smile and was genuinely excited to see everyone and engage in conversation with them. She and your Dad raised 2 amazing kids! Love to you all during this very difficult time. Cindy and Mike Somers
Drew, Kathy, and family,
We have such sweet memories of your mom, who, as you know, was “mom” to all. She was such a beautiful example of Jesus’s unconditional love by how she lived. She will be greatly missed by many. But now she’s back with your dad—the dynamic duo—as it should be. :-) You have our deepest condolences. Love, Catherine & Pat Murphy
I am so very sorry for this tremendous loss. Jeannie was such a kind, sweet, generous lady. I first got to know her at First Pres and then was lucky to have her as a neighbor for a short while in Greencroft. Whenever our paths crossed, her smile, genuine interest and enthusiasm would leave me filled with joy. What a treasure!
