Many times over the last 5 years, I’ve remembered fondly the way Jean so sensitively and skillfully worked out musical arrangements and accompanied me as I sang for performances at church, public events, and more. She really met me where I was, as far as song tempo, supporting my interpretation of lyrics, and expressing the feeling of the music. In the same way, through her loving concern for me (as a twenty-something trying to navigate life’s ups and downs), Jean met me where I was. I will always be grateful to Jean for her support, kindness and presence through those years…
