Jean Menapace died peacefully in her sleep, of natural causes, in Marin County, CA on February 20, 2023.
Jean was born in 1948 in New York to parents Edward Menapace (1910-1997) and Grace Kerns (1911-2006). She is survived by her devoted “sistaire" Martha Lawlor (b. 1943) whose close relationship meant the world to her. She attended Wellesley College (‘70), and later earned her master’s degree at Stanford (’71). For many years she taught math in …
