Jean Lois Ligocki, (nee Jeanne Lois Hallstrom), age 92, of Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully in the early morning of February 5, 2022.

Jean was born and raised in Evanston, IL, graduated from Evanston Township High School in 1947 and attended Kendall College. She was married to Richard S. Ligocki in 1950 and lived in Gary, IN; Elkhart, IN; and Indianapolis, IN.

Jean was preceded in passing by her parents Arthur and Ida, her brothers Arthur and Gordon, husband Richard, and daughter Lorraine (Linder). She is survived by her sons Randal (Cynthia), Preston (Charmaine), Wayne, and many wonderful grandchildren, one great grandchild, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Jean believed in family, hard work, having fun, and helping others. She was an Advanced Master with the American Contract Bridge League, a realtor, liked to go to musicals, travel, meet people, and make friends. She loved to laugh and always enjoyed family holidays and events, and participating in her children’s lives. She collected antique dolls and miniatures. She was an expert in making do with less and helping everyone feel welcome in her home and with family.

She will be missed dearly.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, IL.
