Jean M. Liesman, 93, was born on  May 28, 1930, in Madison, Wisconsin.

She died peacefully in her sleep February 25, 2024 in Naperville, Illinois.

Jean found happiness in many endeavors . She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Hampton, Virginia, for over 40 years. While there she served as a kindergarten teacher for 20 years. She even taught the children of children she had taught! She also acted as a lay assistant for baptisms.

Her fervent passion for the Green Bay Packers was known by all!

Pastimes she enjoyed were reading, enjoying meals with friends, collecting art, and creating her own art up until her passing.

Jean was kind, gracious, generous, and gave great hugs! She had an easy, beautiful smile and a playful sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her husband John, of 59 years, and her daughter Nancy.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son Michael and his wife Pirjo.  Her daughter

Suzanne. She has seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

There are also countless others who will remember her fondly.

She will want to be remembered by her catchphrase, “ I love you and I like you too!”

A Celebration of Life will be held at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Hampton, Virginia, on Sunday March 24th at 3 p.m., led by Pastor Dave. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m.
