JC's obituary
JC met Kathleen Finucane during their High School years and they wed in 1962, going on to have 6 children, Connie Gilfoy, Curt Sallee, Travis Sallee, Julie Brinkmeyer, Wade Sallee (D), and Josh Sallee. JC worked as a carpet layer for more than 40 years and was a retired member of the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters.
JC was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. He was unendingly proud of his family, speaking of them often. JC was also passionate about his hobbies, bowling, cornhole, collecting pedal tractors/cars, and toy trucks. He could often be found helping Linn Presbyterian Church with their rummage sales.
Anyone who knew JC knows he was a loving father and husband and a loyal friend. He was predeceased by his son Wade, father Orville, mother Celestine, brothers Freeman, William, and Elvin Ray, and his sister Frieda. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Kathleen, daughters Connie Gilfoy and Julie Brinkmeyer, sons Curt, Travis, and Josh, 9 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and 4 step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Joeann Kendall, Sue Delph, Terry Williams, and Betty Sallee and brothers Melvin, Jerry, Gene, and Doug.
There will be a celebration of life at 4 pm on May 23rd at Linn Presbyterian Church, W3335 Willow Rd, Lake Geneva, WI.
