Jayz Agnew passed away on November 11, 2022, at 8:06 pm, at 13, following gunshot wounds to the head.

Jayz was born on May 13, 2009, to his parents, Juanita and Antwon Agnew. He had 4 siblings, AJ, Ma'Angel, Ariana, and Aaliyah Agnew. Jayz looked up to his older brother, but Alliyah wasn't the same. She always fought with his older brother. Their rivalry makes the Montagues and Capulets look like best friends. Despite this, they had a (mostly) loving brother-sister relationship. He had many pets, such as his dog Jasmine. He was friends with many people, especially Aiden, Justice, and John Battaka.

He was a laid-back child, always playing video games and hanging out with friends. He mostly played multiplayer games which allowed him to make many friends. Jayz also loved shonen anime such as Naruto, and many others. He didn't like wearing shoes, like Albert Einstein. Another similarity with the genius was that he led the science bowl in elementary school. He wasn't the type of guy to take pictures as well. Jayz loved to travel, he visited Myrtle Beach, Ocean City, Virginia Beach, and Disneyland. Outside of the US, he visited The Bahamas, Guyana, and Canada.

One day, Jayz and his father had a bunch of chores they wanted to do before returning to school the next day. Jayz said that he would rake the leaves. Unfortunately, while his father was inside, Jayz was shot in the head. Jayz was rushed to Children's National Hospital in DC in critical condition. The battle was tough and everyone he ever knew prayed for him. Unfortunately, Jayz died on November 11th, 2022. Jayz’s memory will forever be cherished by everyone who was blessed to meet him.
