Jayse's obituary
James Jayse Antheny Hines passed away the weekend of August 3rd at the age of 26. His smile was infectious and so bright, you couldn't help but smile right back.
Jayse went to Southeast Polk HS and found a love for volleyball. He attended ISU where he obtained a BS in management information systems. It is at college where he found his cherished friends and passion for the game of volleyball. Jayse played VB all through college and continued after with league ball and coaching, even taking his girls' 17u team to Nationals.
He loved his professional career with computers and technology and was our go-to with anything technical.
Jayse sure knew how to make you laugh, laugh to the point it hurt your stomach. Wow, could he cook...from scratch! He preferred it that way. He was loyal, funny, caring, genuine, and just a handsome redhead with stunning blue eyes. He will be missed by so many and remembered with many sweet memories, accomplishments, and kindness he brought to this world.
Jayse is survived by his parents: Stephanie (Steve) Webb, Jeremy (Erin) Hines; his sister Saylor Hines; brothers Peyton Page and Jett Hines; his cat Milo, four bonus sisters, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and an abundance of friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, August 15th at the Elks lodge in Pleasant Hill from 4-7 p.m. A lilac bush will be planted in honor of Jayse, In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting memorial donations directed to Erin Hines.
