Jayden's obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Jayden Mcelwee, born on August 10, 2003, who left us too soon on December 23, 2025. He is remembered with love by his mother Dawn Johns, his father Kyle Turner, and his brothers Jahleel Mcelwee and Jiyonn Turner.

A graduate of Chichester High School in 2022, Jayden continued his education at Delaware County Community College from where he graduated with an Associate degree in Business in 2025. He volunteered his valuable time at the YMCA, giving back to the community that he cherished.

Jayden had a love for music, his favorite being Tupac. He was an avid fan of the movie Sandlot and his favorite sports team, the Dallas Cowboys. A passionate fan of Basketball and Football, Jayden always found joy in being involved in the sports he loved. He was passionate about cooking and spending time with his family, often seen at the local YMCA with his brothers. Vacationing in Hawaii was another cherished activity that served as a source of relaxation and rejuvenation for him.

Jayden loved his local community and would often be found at local spots such as the movie theater or enjoying car races. He had a strong sense of giving back to the community and worked tirelessly towards causes that he held dear to his heart, especially his mom and helping his family in the best way he could. Jayden was warm and outgoing, his personality lighting up the room wherever he went. He was a firm believer in standing up for yourself and being a leader, lessons which he often shared.

Jayden's greatest accomplishments included his high school graduation and his business degree from college, testaments to his dedication, commitment, and determination. Jayden will be deeply missed and never forgotten. His warmth, charisma, and love will continue to inspire and guide all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
